Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina
Club Andino Ushuaia runs a climbing school from its Alem headquarters. Its current programme describes year-round wall training, with outdoor rock trips in spring and summer and special bouldering sessions.
Teaching is divided into initial, intermediate and advanced levels. Introductory work covers equipment and basic technique, while subsequent stages include belaying, sport climbing, multi-pitch climbing and traditional climbing. These are parts of the school’s wider curriculum, not a claim that every discipline is available on the indoor wall.
The club is a non-profit institution established in 1956. Contact it to discuss membership, the appropriate training group and equipment before visiting. The municipal climbing wall in Ushuaia is a different facility.
