Climbing District Building One is the bouldering centre at Tower Bridge Business Centre on Drummond Road, a few minutes' walk from Bermondsey Underground station. It opened as The Arch Climbing Wall's Building One, and still carries The Arch name on its windows, before the Arch centres joined the Climbing District group, which also runs London Fields and Tottenham Hale and several gyms in Paris.
Beginners can book a one-hour Introduction Lesson in a small group. Building One has the widest range of kids' classes in the group, from Marmosets (ages 4 to 6) through Little Rockers and Rockers, plus NICAS bouldering courses, and runs a weekly women's social session on Wednesdays. Memberships cover all Climbing District gyms in London.

“I had a great time as a beginner. I attended an introductory session yesterday and felt confident and excited to do some extra climbing after.”
“Serves well both beginners (myself) & experts. Well equipped gym, decent coffee, friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of waterpoints, and more than one toilet.”
“Might be good for established members to be made aware before they arrive as they might find the process clunky/annoying.”
