A climbing wall in the pool

City Park Recreation Center is the City of Westminster's family leisure centre on Sheridan Boulevard, in Westminster City Park. Its climbing is a rock-climbing wall set in the deep pool of the aquatics hall rather than a dry climbing gym. The deep pool opens on weekday afternoons and evenings and all day at weekends, and from 10am every day in summer.

The rest of the centre

• Aquatics: three indoor pools (wader, recreation and deep) with a water slide, current channel, rope swing, jumping platform and children's play feature, plus a hot tub, steam room, sauna and a seasonal outdoor splash pad.
• Dry side: a full-sized gymnasium, racquetball courts, a weight room, and pottery and dance studios.
• Classes: arts and crafts, preschool and tot programmes, adult enrichment and more.

Getting in

Anyone can buy a day admission, with lower prices for Westminster residents, youth and seniors. Ten-visit punch cards and annual Westy Rec Passes, valid at all of the city's recreation centres and payable monthly, are also sold.
