Cherry Creek Adventure Program

A student-led school programme

The Creek Adventure Program (CAP) at Cherry Creek High School in Greenwood Village has taught outdoor and experiential education since 1988. It pairs curricular adventure classes with after-school and weekend clubs, and much of the teaching is done by trained high school students who lead their peers alongside adult staff.

The climbing walls

CAP has an indoor climbing wall in the school's climbing room, in the North Gym of the West Building, and an outdoor climbing wall. They are used by adventure classes, the C.O.L.T. (Creek Outdoor Leadership Training) Club and the school climbing team, which competes in the Denver Southeast region of the American Scholastic Climbing League.

• C.O.L.T. Club: indoor and outdoor rock and ice climbing, open wall sessions and trips led by student mentors with adult sponsors.
• Group bookings: classes, clubs, sports teams and staff from across the district can book the climbing walls, challenge course and pool; the 2025–26 rate was $50–65 per participant.
• SOAR Rock Camp: a summer week for the district's rising 6th to 8th graders, covering knots, belaying and climbing skills, with days at Movement Centennial and Castlewood Canyon State Park.

Who can climb

This is not a public climbing gym. The facilities are only open to students and staff of the Cherry Creek School District, so there are no day passes or memberships for visitors.
