Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) keeps its climbing wall in the Anafartalar Spor Salonu, the sports hall next to the Faculty of Education on its Anafartalar campus in central Çanakkale. The Faculty of Sport Sciences teaches its outdoor-sports course on the wall, which also serves students in the mountaineering club and students from other departments who climb for fun, and sport climbing is one of ÇOMÜ's university teams. The faculty's photo shows a red wall covered in holds, with a climber clipping the rope into a quickdraw on lead.
The Turkish Mountaineering Federation (TDF) has run sport-climbing courses here since at least 2022, most recently basic and advanced courses and a belayer course in 2025.
The university's sports directorate publishes hourly and monthly rates for the wall, with the lowest prices for ÇOMÜ students, followed by other students and then staff. Climbers from outside the university can use it too, at ₺300 an hour or ₺5,000 a month, and monthly users can climb once a day. No opening hours are published, so contact the directorate before visiting.
