CAB SERAC (Seraing Escalade Randonnée Alpinisme Club) is a family Club Alpin Belge club for climbing, hiking and mountaineering. In 2014 it moved from Seraing to Engis's new sports hall, the Salle des sports du Mosa, built on the site of the former Royal Tennis Club Mosa on Rue Reine Astrid, and the hall's climbing wall has been its home since. The wall has 33 ropes on faces from 6 to 12 metres high, with a 2-metre overhang on the tallest part and lead climbing possible, and there's a bouldering wall too.
Sessions are for club members aged 8 and over, with equipment provided: two sessions each on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings, and Tuesday and Thursday evenings for climbers who can already climb independently. In good weather, the sessions move outside to the Tour-en-Bèche slab. To take part you need an annual Club Alpin Belge membership, which includes insurance, and a session card.
The club runs Sunday outings to Belgian crags, a bouldering trip to Fontainebleau in the autumn holidays, a few days of mountaineering in the Vosges in the winter break, a stay in Val Veny on the Italian side of Mont Blanc, and a five-day course in the spring holidays to prepare for the federation's climbing passports. The club welcomes people with disabilities to its activities.
As the wall announced them. Plans change, so check with the wall before you go.
The club's annual dinner at the Mosa sports hall: a welcome drink, catered buffet and dessert, a look back at the 2025-26 season in photos and videos, medals and climbing passports for its climbers, and a climbing show with challenges.
Five days of preparation, Monday to Friday at the Mosa, for the Club Alpin Belge's climbing passports for seconds and leaders.
