The Sillian section of the Austrian Alpenverein runs a bouldering room on the upper floor of the Sportzentrum in Sillian, in East Tyrol's Hochpustertal, with parking in front. It has about 190 m² of bouldering on Walltopia walls, with problems at every grade. The section holds its bouldering championship here each autumn: the ninth is on 24 October 2026, with qualifying on all the problems during the day and a final for the best women and men in the evening.
The room closes now and then while the problems are reset. The section's public Google calendar (Terminübersicht Boulderraum Sillian) shows closures, ticket sales and group bookings, and news goes out on the room's Instagram account.
Anyone can climb here. The duty Boulderwart sells day tickets and 2-month, 6-month and annual cards on Mondays and Wednesdays from 19:00 to 20:00 (Mondays only in July and August), and the Sportstüberl bar in the sports centre sells day tickets during its opening hours. Card holders can use the room every day from 08:00 to 22:00. Alpenverein members pay less, and members of the Sillian section least. Children under 14 must be supervised by an adult.
