Voitsberg, Styria, Austria
This is the bouldering hall of the Alpenverein's Voitsberg section, on Stallhofnerstraße in Voitsberg. It reopened on 14 September 2026 after a complete rebuild in which the whole interior, from the holds to the walls, was stripped out and replaced with a new design. Its roughly 150 m² of walls give an open, spacious climbing area that runs from flat beginners' walls through technical sections to steep overhangs, with nested structures and a tunnel-like section for pulling, pushing, bridging and dynamic moves. Stronger boulderers can train on the MoonBoard, with its standard problems from around the world. The hall is heated and air-conditioned all year, running on power from new solar panels on site.
The hall is open every day from 06:00 to 22:00, except when it's booked for the section's courses and groups, which are listed on its booking page. Entry is through an electronic lock with a key chip: register online and someone from the section arranges a time to hand it over at the hall, or book an appointment there and sort everything out on the spot. If you don't have a half-year or annual card, you pay the day fee before you climb by leaving it in one of the envelopes provided, with your name and the date on it. Children under 14 must be with a parent or a supervising adult. Street shoes stay in the changing room, and chalk balls or liquid chalk are preferred to keep the dust down. Groups can book reduced rates, with supervision by a section instructor on request.
