About

Bouldering at Mile End Mill

Bloc is an indoor bouldering wall run by TNR Outdoors, the Llangollen activity centre at Mile End Mill on Berwyn Road, beside the River Dee. The room has angled panels in red, grey and white with problems for a range of abilities, set by the TNR team, and a padded carpeted floor.

Before you go

  • Some experience is needed for now: new climbers take a short test and sign a waiver to become a member and climb independently. Introductory sessions for beginners are planned.
  • Climbing shoes are compulsory; outdoor shoes are not allowed on the mats. Shoes can be hired.
  • Loose chalk isn't allowed because of the limited ventilation; chalk balls are sold on site.
  • Entry lasts all day, so you can stay until closing.
  • No dogs in the bouldering room.

Café

The TNR café is open whenever Bloc is, serving stone-baked pizzas, homemade cakes, sausage rolls, snacks and hot and soft drinks. It closes 30 minutes before the wall.

Coming soon

TNR says kids' clubs, coaching and birthday parties are on the way. There is no monthly or season pass yet.
