Ankara, Turkey
Ankara University's climbing wall stands at one end of the sports hall of its Faculty of Sport Sciences on the 50. Yıl campus in Gölbaşı. Tall yellow and pale walls carry roped routes with quickdraws in place, and a lower section of angled panels in blue, orange and green has crash mats beneath it for bouldering.
The faculty has run sport rock climbing courses on the wall, coordinated by one of its lecturers and offered through the university's continuing education centre (ANKÜSEM). In 2017 the Turkish Mountaineering Federation held its Ankara basic and advanced sport climbing courses here, and in March 2018 the hall hosted a national team selection for young boulderers. In May 2024 the university's senators tried climbing, archery and other activities in the hall during a fitness day after a senate meeting held at the faculty.
The wall belongs to the faculty and is not open to the public. No opening hours or prices are published.
