The University of Ruse documents an indoor climbing hall run with the Akademik tourist and mountaineering society. Its climbing information describes organised practice and training at the university, rather than a large commercial gym with unrestricted daily entry.
The university’s published pages and older club videos establish that the hall has been used for climbing. They are useful background, but the timetable still available online belongs to older material and should not be used to plan a session in 2026.
Google Maps currently marks the venue temporarily closed. A dependable reopening announcement, current public-entry timetable and up-to-date admission tariff were not found in the club and university sources checked in October 2026.
Contact the university or Akademik before visiting. Ask whether indoor climbing is currently running, which entrance and session to use, and whether visitors outside the university can join. Any instruction or equipment arrangements should be agreed at the same time. The temporary status does not establish that the wall has permanently closed.
